The Facilities & Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for oversight of Maintenance Leads, Mechanics and Associates, responsible for building facility maintenance, upkeep, and safety for the JD Finish Line corporate offices and distribution centers. This role is critical to the total operation of the business, with an emphasis on the distribution center, enabling employees to reach optimal performance, productivity, safety and employee satisfaction. This leader will effectively exhibit JD Finish Line’s core values of Customer, People, Winning, Community, and Financial Responsibility in everything they do by performing the following key duties:
Provides day to day coaching and development of maintenance team members, helping them prioritize daily maintenance activity and reach desired team KPIs.
Liaises objectives from supply chain leadership to staff, ensuring work activity is effectively prioritized and in line with overall objectives.
Ensures the building and equipment is in safe, working condition, and in line with OSHA and other regulatory standards (lockout/tagout, bloodborne pathogens, etc.)
Leads a responsive team ready to support any unexpected outages, as well as proactively leads ongoing PM efforts, in order to maintain a safe working environment and minimize downtime for operations.
Acts as an active, hands-on leader, having frequent dialogue with team members, with a focus on engaging and motivating a high performing workforce by creating an inclusive and desirable team culture. This leader should be at the forefront of ensuring employees are comfortable raising questions, concerns and recommendations, knowing their leader will be attentive, welcoming and responsive.
Provides ongoing feedback to team members, recognizing contributions, verbally rewarding strong performance, and provides constructive feedback for employees to improve performance.
Leads succession efforts of maintenance associates to maintenance mechanic roles, creating a deep bench of internal talent and enabling growth opportunities for team members.
As a working leader, leads by example as business need dictates, executing maintenance mechanic and maintenance associate duties alongside the team.
Supports a variety of office support activities including office redesigns, equipment installs, plans for electrical work, etc.
Supports Maintenance Manager as needed with tracking and ordering supplies ,PO creation, budgeting and ad hoc matters for CapX projects.
Delegates staff to respond to maintenance issues in a timely manner.
Responsible for employee records, timekeeping, attendance, scheduling, performance reviews, etc. of the Facilities Maintenance staff.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Additional duties and projects as required.
Required Education and/or Experience
At least 3 - 5 years in a technical maintenance mechanic or similar role supporting warehouse, distribution, and/or production facilities; at least 2 – 4 years additional experience in a leadership capacity, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Any formal relevant education or certifications is a plus, but not required.
Required Computer and/or Technical Skills
Should have basic to intermediate knowledge and abilities with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (or Google Suite equivalents). Knowledge of material handling equipment including ability to understand mechanical/electronic controls is critical, with experience fixing conveyors. Able to read blueprints and CAD drawings is a plus. Possesses working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, sewer, roofing, commercial construction, fire and safety equipment.

Work Environment
The work environment for this position is a moderately noisy office setting with very limited exposure to a moderate to loud warehouse setting.
