DESCRIPTION: Produce syrup and extract batches for the syrup department following all GMP and Safety procedures. To ensure all activities are handled in accordance with Finlay’s mission, business philosophy, ethics, and goals. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Produce batches per blend orders. Log all necessary information on blend orders and in company computer system.
  • Document all lot numbers of raw ingredients
  • Generate batch transfers for the followings days production
  • Verify batch transfers with Shipping to ensure raw materials received match with what is transferred.
  • Close blend orders when complete
  • Transfer raw ingredients in the system when transferring them into the production room
  • Gather and maintain required materials
  • Gather and deliver samples for Lab
  • Utilize tablets for imputing information for raw materials and downtime
  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety Practices. ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
  • General housekeeping, removal of trash, clean work areas.
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. QUALITY AND SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for consistently maintaining safe quality food products by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP, SQF, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensuring visitors, contactors and customers are documented on each visit in and out of the facility to maintain good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense/food security and HACCP controls.
  • Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to management.
  • Responsible for partnering with others, sharing knowledge, skills and information within assigned team and across functional areas.
  • Ensure all safety work practices are adhered to.
  • Exhibit an understanding of quality standards and ability to speak to Finlays quality systems. MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE:

  • Dependability QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be a team player, flexible and have good time management skills
  • Must have fork truck experience or able to obtain certification.
  • Must be able to communicate in English.
  • Must be able to do mathematical conversions.
  • Must be quality conscious and detail oriented.
  • Must be able to work overtime or start earlier hours as needed. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • High school graduate or GED
  • Forklift Certified
  • Mechanically inclined and understand the production process WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Wet, Humid, and Hot.
  • Able to stand, bend, and stretch while performing duties.
  • Able to maneuver 85-pound boxes on a consistent basis.
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
