What are the responsibilities and job description for the Credit Analyst / Customer Service Representative position at Finlayson Bancshares?
PRIMARY JOB PURPOSE: To analyze and investigate credit information; preparing credit presentations in concert with loan officers for submission to loan committees. Preparing annual reviews on required loans with the compilation and analysis of customer financial information. Will also assist in providing prompt and exceptional personal service to each customer, assisting them in all their banking needs accurately and efficiently while promoting the bank and all of its services.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Enters financial statements and related information to financial spreadsheets software programs for analysis. Have a strong working knowledge of Web Equity, Fin Pac and Excel software programs.
- Analyzes all financial data related to new and renewal commercial or real estate loan application/requests.
- Assists in the risk analysis for new commercial loan requests by performing a thorough credit analysis in accordance with bank standards and industry guidelines.
- Works with relationship managers prepare summary and credit approval reports documenting credit analysis and supporting information for credit decision recommendations. Prepare credit approval analysis including the credit suitability with bank policy.
- Provide on-going credit management support through quarterly and annual reviews discussing the customer’s financial condition and performance. Presents facts and offers opinions concerning client's credit worthiness.
- Assist with Ongoing/Annual review of loans and commitments at the bank for the purposes of assigning objective grades to credits, determining the adequacy of loan documentation, identifying potential or existing credit problems, ensuring conformity with bank policy, preparing a written report for each credit reviewed.
- Works with relationship managers in handling larger more complex loans. May meet with customers to gather financial information.
- Assists as needed with helping process customer payments, deposits, and withdrawals for all types of transactions, verifying all cash, negotiability and endorsements and issuing receipts.
- As needed will assist with additional transactions that are assigned including but not limited to telephone transfers, gift cards, cash advances, money orders, redeeming savings bonds, and other banking services as needed.
EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION:
- Minimum of High School Education or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in a field related to financial services or prior banking experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of deposit accounts, loans, credit, payment services, and investments.
- Strong competencies in marketing, networking, and establishing relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows.
