Position Summary:
The Recruitment Specialist will assist with the firm’s recruitment activities, including lateral, on-campus, and staff hiring. This role plays an important part in creating a smooth and professional experience for candidates and recruiters while supporting the team’s overall goals.
Job responsibilities/duties may include, but are not limited to:
Lateral Attorney Recruiting:
- Act as the primary liaison for recruiters and candidates, ensuring effective communication.
- Schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring managers and teams.
- Maintain accurate candidate records in ViRecruit software and manage hiring approvals and offers.
- Coordinate meetings and communication with the hiring committee.
- Organize and save recruitment-related documents in iManage.
- Regularly update job postings on the firm’s website and monitor applications.
On-Campus Interviewing (OCI):
- Coordinate OCI registrations with law schools and manage interview schedules.
- Assist with candidate selection, rankings, and callback interview logistics.
- Prepare candidate materials and organize documentation for accepted summer associates.
Staff Recruiting:
- Create and manage job postings for staff positions.
- Conduct initial resume screenings, coordinate interviews and complete references.
- Maintain detailed records in ViRecruit software to support compliance and reporting.
Support Firm Growth:
- Oversee summer program workflows and evaluations.
- Track diversity initiatives, including Mansfield Rule compliance.
- May include new hire orientation and training.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in recruitment, HR, or a related role, preferably in a law firm or a professional services environment.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (experience with ViRecruit preferred).
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
