Job Overview:
As a Pool Service Technician, you will be responsible for the regular maintenance, cleaning, and repair of swimming pools. This role requires a strong understanding of pool systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and committed to ensuring pools are safe, clean, and in optimal condition.
Key Responsibilities:
o Perform routine inspections and maintenance of swimming pools, including cleaning, balancing chemicals, and checking equipment.
o Diagnose and repair pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, and chlorination systems.
o Conduct water testing and make necessary adjustments to ensure water quality meets health and safety standards.
o Identify and address pool issues, leaks, and equipment malfunctions promptly.
o Collaborate with clients to understand their specific needs and address any concerns or questions they may have.
o Maintain accurate records of services provided, equipment installed/repaired, and materials used.
o Keep abreast of industry trends, advancements, and best practices to continuously improve service quality.
o Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working on pool maintenance tasks.
o Provide excellent customer service, communicate effectively, and build positive relationships with clients.
Qualifications:
o Proven experience as a Pool Service Technician or in a related role.
o Strong knowledge of pool equipment, water chemistry, and maintenance procedures.
o Ability to troubleshoot and repair pool equipment effectively.
o Excellent communication and customer service skills.
o Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
o Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy equipment.
o Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Education and Certification:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Relevant certifications in pool maintenance and repair (e.g., Certified Pool Operator - CPO) preferred.
