Paralegal
We are looking for a new member to add to our team of professionals. This position is for an experienced family law paralegal. The position is full-time, from 7:30 am until 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Our office is located in West Olympia, near downtown.
Knowledge of family law procedure in Washington State is required.
We are not looking for students, law students, or those not seeking a permanent position. We are looking to add a permanent member of our team who can grow with the business.
GENERAL DUTIES:
- Calendaring hearings and deadlines
- Initial drafting of legal documents
- Court filing
- Communication with courts, clients, opposing offices
- Managing the attorneys' schedules
- Receiving incoming communications (digital and hard copies)
- Copying and scanning documents
- Ordering office supplies
- Managing client relationships
- Processing payments
- Telephone and email communications
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience with Washington State family law practice
- Organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent communication (written and oral)
- Grammatically proficient
- Advanced reading comprehension (experience reading and understanding medical records, police reports, court records, etc.)
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Ability to perform well under pressure and strict deadlines
- Two years of administrative/clerical experience is required
- College degree is preferred
Starting pay is $35/hour. All federal holidays are paid time off. After 90 days, benefits include paid vacation and sick leave. Health and dental insurance is paid through the firm.
