Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and non-routine microbiological analyses, ensuring accurate results and detailed documentation.
• Maintain lab equipment and uphold a clean, organized workspace for efficient operations.
• Summarize findings and communicate technical reports to technical, marketing, and sales teams effectively.
• Plan and conduct complex research projects, such as screening the efficacy of biocidal chemicals against various populations of microorganisms.
• Isolate and maintain cultures of BSL-1 and BSL-2 bacteria or other microorganisms for future studies.
• Identify and classify microorganisms found in specimens collected from field samples.
• Assist with the development of protocols and procedures on how to properly handle, store, and transport samples.
• Dispose of chemical waste following established protocols.
• Mentor less senior technical personnel.
• Collaborate seamlessly within a team environment to achieve goals.
• Adhere strictly to safety, health, and environmental regulations, promoting safe practices.
• Participate in hazard assessments and safety reviews to ensure laboratory safety.
• Provide technical support and training to business teams.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices for innovation and improvement.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in microbiological lab methods, preferably with a focus on oilfield applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex process issues.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and environmental, health, and safety standards applicable to biocide manufacturing and application.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven ability to manage projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to adhere to strict safety protocols and participate in safety training programs.
• This position may require occasional travel, including to field locations to assist with sampling and testing.
• This position is safety-sensitive and will require company-mandated drug testing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
