Job Title: Payroll Coordinator I
Division: FiOptix Inc
FSLA Status: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Payroll Supervisor
Job Summary: This position is responsible for preparing and processing bi-weekly payrolls for multiple entities and states.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in a relevant field from a four-year college or university

Job Summary: This position is responsible for preparing and processing bi-weekly payrolls for multiple entities and states.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Submit, review, and accept payrolls under the direction of the Director of Human Resources
- Maintain employee payroll records
- Audit timekeeping records for compliance with established standards and applicable law
- Assist with miscellaneous internal audits
- Calculate and record payroll deductions
- Validate employee profile changes including pay increases, department transfers, and position changes
- Enter employee changes into HRIS system
- Process involuntary deductions, such as garnishments and wage levies
- Calculate final paychecks, process quick calculations, and manual checks as required
- Create and run reports within HRIS system
- Assist with payroll system maintenance
- Other duties as assigned
Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in a relevant field from a four-year college or university
Experience:
- Six months to one-year multi-state payroll processing experience
- Computer and Microsoft Office proficiency
- Proficiency with and/or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS system
- Highly organized and detail orientated
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Superior time management skills
- Ability to work with all levels of management and staff
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets Company requirements
- Ability to sit at a desk for 6-8 hours per day
- Ability to work on a computer for 6-8 hours per day
- May be required to work long and unpredictable hours
