What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Guard - Unarmed position at Fiore Industries?
As a Security guard, unarmed, for Fiore Industries, you will be responsible for the security and safety of our client's employees, visitors, and property at multiple sites in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Guards must meet all local and state qualification requirements necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the position. This position requires you to work either day or night, as a member of a team. You are expected to learn and employ all site-specific policies and procedures, and implement emergency response activities as appropriate, while providing superior customer service.
Responsibilities will include:
- Securing premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting building, equipment, and access points; permitting entry
- Conducting proper investigation and inquiries into all incidents, accidents, security issues, and situations impacting the facility or clients interest, its employees, partners, and guests to include but not limited to damages, losses, safety matters, or injury
- Providing detailed reports to Security Manager
- Patrolling the facility as directed to prevent or minimize property loss, property damage, personal injury, or situations having a negative impact on the organization
- Monitor entrance of vehicles or people in the property
- Responds to alarms by investigation and assessing the situation
- Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances
- Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures
- Complete reports by recording observations, information, and occurrences
- Complies with all guidance, instruction, policies and procedures of the organization and the proper execution of assigned duties
- Completes all duties as otherwise assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be proficient in English (written and spoken)
- Must possess a current Level 1 or 3 Guard Card issued by the NM RLD
- Must have current or prior security experience
- Have all state/local licenses, permits, registrations, or certifications as required to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must possess a valid Driver's License
- Must be able to pass a drug screening
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be able to successfully pass a Physical Ability Test within 90 days of employment
Minimum Functional Requirements
- Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds
- Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
- Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
- Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
- Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
