SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALIST
Location: Medina, OH (Hybrid – 1-2 days per week in-office)
Fire-Dex and Gear Wash are looking for a dynamic Social Media Specialist to enhance our brand presence and drive digital engagement. In this role, you’ll develop and execute innovative social media strategies that amplify our reach, build community, drive leads, and support marketing initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow Fire-Dex and Gear Wash social channels, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Develop and execute data-driven social media strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and follower growth.
- Create, edit, and publish compelling content that fosters community interaction and drives meaningful engagement.
- Plan and manage paid social media campaigns, including audience targeting, budget allocation, and performance optimization.
- Optimize company pages across platforms to maximize visibility and impact.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on key social media metrics to measure success and inform strategy adjustments.
- Stay ahead of social media trends, platform updates, and industry best practices to continuously refine our approach.
- Engage with followers in a timely and authentic manner, ensuring a best-in-class brand experience.
- Collaborate with copywriters and marketing team members to maintain a consistent brand voice and messaging.
- Support marketing campaigns and product launches by integrating social media strategies.
- Plan and execute social media giveaways, including the distribution of firefighting PPE, to drive lead generation and audience growth.
- Assist with local event planning and promotions as needed.
Candidates should possess the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field required
- Two to four years of professional social media management
- Experience with paid social a must
- HubSpot experience is a plus
- Adobe experience a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Strong communication skills - ability to communicate with all levels inside and outside of the organization, including verbal, electronic and written
- Ability to work in teams as well as possess self-accountability
- Efficient with prioritizing and multi-tasking, including being productive while handling re-directions and interruptions based upon business needs
- Possess a high attention to detail
- Ability to remain organized with and keep track of multiple sources of information and data
- Ability to travel an average of 5-10% a year for strategy meetings, trainings, or events
- Possess strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
