Requirements of the job: Must be an Anchorage area resident- this is due to on call and emergency work. Have valid ADL and no felonies. Be able to lift 65 lbs

We are a 30 year water damage restoration company providing emergency response and restoration services to residential and commercial properties. Our focus is on quality workmanship and excellent customer service. We are seeking responsible individuals to become part of our growing team. Hands on - Paid Training is provided for this role with plenty of room for growth in the company from entry level technicians to department management. We offer bonus opportunities, overtime and paid holidays. Base salary dependent on experience in the industry. IICRC certification and min 1yr field experience prefered

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the setup and preparation of job sites for water damage restoration projects.
  • Perform demolition, including the removal of damaged materials such as drywall, flooring, and insulation.
  • Extract water from affected areas using various types of water extraction equipment.
  • Set up and operate drying equipment and learn the complexities and processes of running a mitigation job
  • Assist in the cleaning and sanitization of affected areas, ensuring proper removal of contaminants.
  • Remove and dispose of damaged materials in accordance with safety protocols and regulations.
  • Support the restoration phase of jobs as needed and other duties as needed
  • Follow established procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage and inventory of equipment and supplies.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and provide updates on job progress and any potential issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Willing to Train. Previous experience in water damage restoration is preferred
  • Honesty
  • Integrity
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow verbal instructions
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects, working in confined spaces, and standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of construction principles and materials is preferred
  • Preference is given for certification in water damage restoration (IICRC or equivalent)
  • Valid ADL required with reliable, insured transportation to/from work- because of the on call job nature, city bus transport will not suffice. Clean back ground necessary for hire
