Fire Protection Specialists is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Fire Alarm Inspector to join our team. This role is responsible for inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire alarm systems to ensure compliance with NFPA codes and industry standards. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to life safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and testing of fire alarm systems in accordance with NFPA 72 and local fire codes.
- Accurately document inspection results and report deficiencies.
- Maintain professionalism and provide exceptional customer service while on-site.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor system issues during inspections.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company procedures.
- Work closely with team members to schedule and complete inspections efficiently.
- Properly use testing tools and equipment, including multimeters and smoke test equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to company vehicle maintenance and inventory procedures.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in fire alarm inspection, testing, or maintenance preferred.
- NICET Certification in Fire Alarm Systems (or willingness to obtain) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of NFPA codes and local fire regulations.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on ladders/lifts as needed.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
