Fire Rock Cultivation is currently looking for a proactive and highly organized full time Executive Assistant to support our Managing Partner in our Akron office. This is a unique opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, regulated industry and enjoys a hybrid role that combines high-level administrative support with bookkeeping and business coordination. You'll help ensure the Managing Partner stays focused on big-picture strategy while you manage the day-to-day details behind the scenes.
Fire Rock Cultivation Ohio Ltd. is a state-licensed marijuana cultivation facility based in Akron, Ohio. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Managing Partner’s calendar, including scheduling meetings and alerting to important deadlines.
- Draft and edit professional correspondence, memos, and emails on behalf of the Managing Partner.
- Screen and route calls, manage incoming requests, and prioritize follow-ups.
- Process and track invoices, handle bill payments, and manage bookkeeping tasks.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and relevant regulatory compliance requirements.
- Assist with HR tasks such as maintaining records and supporting internal processes.
- Maintain organized and secure filing systems—both digital and physical.
- Serve as a point of contact between executives, staff, vendors, and customers.
- Contribute to special projects, research, and operational initiatives as needed.
What You Bring:
- 2 years of experience in an executive assistant or similar administrative role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe, QuickBooks, and related tools.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Confidence and professionalism in written and verbal communication.
- Ability to handle confidential and time-sensitive information with discretion.
- Comfortable working independently and juggling multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with bookkeeping and/or compliance is a strong plus.
- Project management experience is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Experience in a regulated industry (cannabis, healthcare, finance, etc.) is helpful but not required.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
Office-based role at our Akron cultivation facility. Partial remote work may be possible depending on performance and company needs. Standard office work with occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs), walking, stair climbing, and sitting for extended periods.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary: $55,000–$65,000, based on experience
- PTO available
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, standard business hours
- Other: No health insurance provided at this time
- Discretionary end-of-year bonus
