What are the responsibilities and job description for the Systems and Controls Technician position at Fireblast Global, Inc.?
We are seeking experienced Electrical Assembly Technicians who possess the skills in the assembly and wiring of UL Listed 508A Industrial Control Panels for immediate hire. This is a permanent full-time position. Candidates must be able to assemble and install electrical components by utilizing component layout drawings and must be able terminate point-to-point electrical wiring utilizing electrical control schematics and single-line power diagrams.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assist engineering personnel in design and layout of electrical panels and equipment
· Evaluate electrical panel manufacturing processes and participate daily in the implementation of improvements to the process
· Performs layout and wiring of industrial control panels and devices per electrical schematics
· Drills and taps device mounting holes and mounts PLC controller, VFDs, Circuit Breakers, Fuses, Terminal Blocks, Power Supplies, Transformers and supporting devices
· Run conduit, pull wire, terminating industrial control panels
· Upload, download and save PLC controller programs, VFD Configurations and Touch Panel Programs from a standard library
· Properly Configure VFD’s (Variable frequency drives)
· Performs a combination of tasks to assemble and test electronic components, subassemblies, products, or systems.
· Read and execute work orders based on electrical schematics, production drawings and work instructions
· Prepare and maintain a variety of reports and records, including time reporting and properly filled out redlines as needed
· Utilize fabrication tools such as soldering iron, drills, saws, cutters and punches
· Performs in production inspection, conducts functional and continuity tests of electrical assemblies, components, wire harness, and plugs, using a multimeter, test lights, and other electrical testing instruments and calibration kits to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards
· Neat in workmanship, specifically in regards to best practices in industrial wiring
· Ability to learn through verbal and written instructions, retain knowledge to share and teach fellow team members
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
· Strong background in electrical schematic reading, component layout, wiring methods, electrical machine assembly, trouble shooting and problem solving. Good working knowledge of NEMA and UL electrical standards, machine controls, sensors and safety devices
· Strong appetite for learning and professional development
· Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills
· Ability to work independently and with a team
EDUCATION
· High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
· Associates Degree (Two year college or Electrical Trade school): Preferred
EXPERIENCE:
· Experience in heavy industrial assembly, Production environment
· Experience in hands-on industrial control panel assembly, industrial process controls or related field
· Experience running, bending, fabricating conduit (Rigid EMT) and raceways ranging from 1/2" to 2" and pulling wire
· Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials common to the electrical trade
· Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations
· Knowledge of industry standard safety codes
· Knowledge of reading and interpret blueprints and electrical diagrams
· Must be able to perform general physical activities common to the electrical trade (i.e. climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials)
· Willingness to follow directions and plan ahead

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
