We are seeking a skilled Fire Sprinkler Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems in compliance with local codes and standards. Responsibilities
- Install and maintain fire sprinkler systems according to established codes and standards.
- Conduct inspections and testing of fire sprinkler systems to ensure proper functionality.
- Troubleshoot and repair any issues found during inspections or reported by clients.
- Utilize power tools and equipment for installation and maintenance tasks.
- Perform tube bending and soldering as necessary for system installations.
- Collaborate with other trades, including HVAC technicians, to ensure integrated system performance.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Adhere to safety protocols while working on job sites to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fire sprinkler installation or related fields is preferred.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards governing fire protection systems.
- Proficient in using power tools and welding techniques (FCAW) for system assembly.
- Strong basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to installations.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on maintaining high-quality standards.
- Certification or training in fire protection systems is a plus but not mandatory.
