What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Commercial Insurance Sales Representative position at FIREFIGHTERS FIRST FEDERAL CREDIT UNION?

Currently, we have an immediate opening for a Licensed Commercial Insurance Sales Representative. The Licensed Insurance Sales Representative is responsible for building and maintaining client relationships and policies in force. They are also responsible for promoting FIS’s brand by visiting fire stations, conducting presentations, attending conferences, and/or events. A result driven sales professional responsible for the execution of commercial sales strategies that are consistent with FIS’s strategic goals.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Providing legendary service by supporting the client and prospective clients, uncovering their insurance needs, and providing education on products & services, with a focus on commercial lines.
- Conducting coverage reviews and recommending additional lines of insurance.
- Pursuing business relationships by partnering with Firefighters First Credit Union team members to effectively cover and develop markets within designated regions in order to grow policies in force.
- Travel up to 20% of the time or as needed to visit fire stations and unions, attend community events, attend meetings, conferences, training, or other work-related events.
- Building and maintaining relationships with current and potential clients by visiting stations, unions, professional firefighter organizations, and by attending events.
- Delivering, hosting, or participating in educational and marketing activities to increase awareness of FIS’s insurance services and recommending insurance products and services to meet individual consumer needs.
Basic Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma
- Licenses: Property/Casualty license and Health & Life license.
- Experience with selling insurance policies for a minimum of 3 year.
- Experience with public relations.
- Experience preparing presentations and presenting to groups.
- Knowledge of Insurance Agency practices and procedures.
