What are the responsibilities and job description for the Distillery Tasting Room Staff position at Fireside Distillers?
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome visitors to the distillery tasting room
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive experience for all guests
- Conduct tastings and educate visitors about the different spirits produced at the distillery
- Assist customers in selecting and purchasing products
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tasting room area
- Prepare and serve drinks to customers in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Follow all food safety guidelines when handling and serving food items
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry, such as banquet, catering, or restaurant roles
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for cash handling purposes
- Must be at least 21 years old, as this position involves serving alcoholic beverages

Tasting staff will also be assigned to participate in company shows in various locations. Salary will change from the base amount to reflect situations where tips might not be possible.
An OLCC Servers Permit is required for this position.
A background in marketing or sales is desired for potential job duty expansion.
