Firetron is seeking a seasoned/experienced/reliable commercial fire sprinkler technician with a high level of customer service, with strong organizational skills, positive attitude and an ability to learn quickly.
Responsibilities
- Ability to perform repairs from information on deficiency list and call-in basis.
- Participation in on call rotation.
- Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals, part manuals, change notices and bulletins, modification notices, etc. to diagnose and repair equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications software/systems, programs, schematics and operational product manuals.
- Awareness of applicable regulatory codes per County, State and Federal Fire codes.
- Experience with power machine, threader and other essential tools
- Ability to plan and prioritize tasks in a focused work environment and maintain high levels of efficiency without direct supervision.
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure the safety and functionality of all facilities and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and inspections.
- Minimum three years of field experience performing service and repairs to sprinkler systems of wet, dry, pre-action, deluge and fire pump
- Must have the ability to be able to walk into a live building with thousands of occupants and handle work without incident.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 60 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements
- Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements
- Must maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs
- Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs.
