We are currently searching for a full time Universal Banker for our Winder location. Prior banking experience as a bank teller is preferred.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 6 months experience as a bank teller or other banking experience preferred.
- Proficiency in banking operating systems required.
- Must have accurate and efficient cash handling abilities.
- Must have excellent customer service skills.
- Must be able to prioritize and work independently.
- Must be detail oriented and have good organization skills.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work in a team environment and multi-task.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
First American Bank & Trust is a full service community bank where universal banker's play a vital role in the customer banking experience. Handing routine financial transactions (deposits, withdrawals, advances, loan payments, merchant transactions, customer service account needs, vault etc.), and balancing these transactions daily while ensuring a positive friendly interaction with customers and non-customers. Quality customer service in a community bank setting is our specialty. Successful Tellers/CSRs also cross-sell FABT products when appropriate by making the necessary referrals to those who specialize in the bank's outstanding product line in a customer oriented non hard sell environment. As a universal banker you have an opportunity to learn teller, CSR and vault duties to service any customer that walks in the branch from start to finish.
Bank Teller Responsibilities: Responsible for performing a wide variety of teller and general clerical duties to provide services to Bank’s customers in conformance with Bank policy and general procedures. The individual will actively participate in the Bank’s efforts to provide the highest possible level of quality customer service. Provides support to various branches of the Bank by providing basic cash receipts and payment services in accordance with financial institution procedures. Responsible for maintaining compliance of all policies and procedures affecting the day to day branch operations. Provide quality, accurate and timely customer service involving daily processing of financial transactions in a retail environment. Customer Service Responsibilities: Responsible for product and procedural knowledge for opening accounts and servicing existing and new customers in the new accounts process as well as account maintenance needs.
Qualifications: Basic Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent- Minimum six months of experience in cash handling and customer service- Physical requirements: May be required to stand for extended periods of time and may be required to lift bags/boxes of coin weighing up to 50 pounds. Preferred Skills/Experience- Basic clerical and processing skills- Effective interpersonal/customer service skills- Basic reading, writing and mathematical skills.- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and coworkers- Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills- Ability to learn the use of various office equipment including computer terminal, windows, teller software, Microsoft word and excel.- Willingness to proactively solicit new business as necessary- Bilingual language skills a plus.
