TITLE: Administrative Assistant – Elementary
STAFF LEVEL: Support Staff
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
STATUS: Full Time, 12 month
Overall Responsibilities
The Administrative Assistant will provide support to the elementary principals and their coordinating teams in a wide range of office and school operations; coordinate and organize office activities and coordinate the flow of communications and information. The Administrative Assistant will maintain confidentiality of sensitive and personal information and prepare and maintain a variety of records and reports related to the assigned duties. This role will also manage formal communications on behalf of the school level principal.
Principle Responsibilities
- Edit and revise formal communications from the principals ensuring quality and consistency
- Communication of school level information and events with the school community
- SMS or text alerts to the school community
- Operate collaboratively with the LCA Communications Team to ensure consistency in branding in marketing materials
- Cover the Eagle’s Office lunch breaks on rotation as necessary
- Eagle Pride or Award communication
- Assist in logistics for graduation and end of year ceremonies
- Compile information for and generate year end certificates
- Design and generate programs and power point slides for concerts and ceremonies
- Establish scripts for ceremonies
- Design and generate flyers and touch cards for school level and principal events
- Compile information and registrations for After School Clubs
- Communicate with Marketing and Communications Officer for additions to the website
- Performs diverse office-related responsibilities within areas and limits of authority as delegated
- Compiles, prepares, and maintains a variety of records and reports related to assigned activities
- Inputs a variety of information into an assigned system; assures accuracy of input and output data
- Maintains confidentiality of various aspects of school operation including sensitive and personal information
- Performs a wide variety of administrative work, including typing and word processing, proofreading, filing, recording information, and processing/distribution of correspondence
- Composes correspondence independently or with general instruction on a wide range of subjects
- Attends and participates in assigned meetings and trainings; prepares minutes from notes as required
- Assists with planning school events and field trips as needed
- Operates a variety of office equipment
- Provides Eagles Office and front reception coverage during the summer months
- Member of the Dreams Auction Committee
- Other duties as assigned

Certifications and Licensure
- First Aid/CPR a plus but not required
Preferred Education and Experience
- High school diploma required
- Associates Degree or higher preferred
- Two years’ experience in events’ coordination, hospitality management, or teaching

Safely handle typical chemicals used to clean and sanitize in a commercial setting.
Travel
Other than travel to and from the worksite, it is not anticipated except as may be necessary to attend offsite training or conference.

Hours
Work hours are 40 hours per week (may occasionally require weekend and evenings). Monday – Friday during window of 8:00am – 4:30pm
