Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Development Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role involves working closely with children to support their development across various domains, including cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the developmental needs of infants, toddlers and preschool-aged children.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages and promotes exploration, supports discovery and fosters independence.
- Document daily observations to assess children's progress and adapt and modify environment, lesson plans and interaction strategies accordingly.
- Plan, prepare and actively engage developmentally appropriate physical education activities that promote coordination and confidence.
- Incorporate constructivist principles into daily activities to enhance independent learning and critical thinking skills.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and development within the classroom setting.
- Collaborate with fellow educators ~ educarers to create a cohesive curriculum that aligns with the center's educational philosophies and practices.
Experience
- Previous experience in infant, toddler care or early childhood education is preferred.
- A background in childcare or child development is essential for success in this role.
