Kids Volunteer Coordinator

SUMMARY
The purpose of the Kids Volunteer Coordinator is to complete all scheduling of volunteers for first-fifth grade, including building and maintaining volunteer engagement. This person understands the strategic impact that volunteers can have on kids programming and goes above and beyond to coordinate with the internal team to identify volunteer needs / opportunities and engage with the community to connect the right individuals with the right ministry area. They do this by recruiting and on-boarding new volunteers, engaging existing kids volunteers, and identifying ways to enhance our volunteer processes.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works in coordination with the overall goals and objectives of First Naples.
- Assists the overall Kids Team to work toward excellence.
- Basic personal responsibilities :
- Maintain a vital and growing personal walk with the Lord through committed Bible study, prayer, and meditation.
- Lead yourself and your home towards Honesty, Honor, Humility, Hunger, the Holy Spirit, and Health (Emotional, Spiritual, Financially, and Physically)
- Faithfully support the ministries of First Naples by maintaining wise stewardship measures over the resources entrusted to you.
- Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner to glorify Christ and further the mission and ministry purposes of First Naples (Colossians 3 : 23-24).
- Encouraged to attend a First Naples Sunday worship service weekly.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be skilled in scheduling, organizing and supervising volunteers, and accomplishing tasks in a timely manner. The individual must be able to accomplish tasks in advance to ensure each area of focus will succeed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
LANGUAGE SKILLS
The individual must have excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with a diverse group of people, communicate clearly and effectively on the telephone, e-mail and in person, demonstrating tact and diplomacy. Exceptional interpersonal skills are required to develop and maintain strong working relationships with volunteers, co-workers, the public and church members and regular attendees. The individual must have the ability to understand written or oral instructions; read, analyze and interpret complex documents, instructions manuals, policies and procedures is essential.
COMPUTER AND MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
The individual must have demonstrated skill in the use of PC systems to complete tasks, including word processing and spreadsheets and the ability to use the internet for information retrieval.
REASONING ABILITY
The ability to simultaneously conceptualize and plan multiple tasks; project outcomes using different implementation strategies; and apply creative and innovative thinking to problem situations is required. The ability to work effectively and efficiently under stressful conditions to ensure deadlines are met is essential.
