EHS Coordinator
Position Summary
Partnering with other Regional EHS Coordinators, this role ensures a safe and compliant work environment for all employees within First Brands Group. The position is responsible for maintaining compliance with internal and external audits as well as regulatory standards.

This position reports to the Director of Human Resources, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and federal/state safety regulations (EPA, OSHA, DOT, etc.). The primary focus is to develop and sustain policies and programs that provide a safe and healthy workplace, free from recognized hazards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing a strong safety culture across the organization.
- Implement and communicate health and safety policies, programs, and procedures aligned with regulatory standards.
- Analyze incident data and trends, conducting investigations to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies and environmental permits.
- Coordinate and manage safety training, onboarding programs, and safety talks.
- Oversee hazardous materials handling, air quality, noise levels, and ergonomic improvements.
- Provide guidance to safety committees and support site leadership in accident investigations and corrective actions.
- Monitor and maintain EHS records, including training, audits, and compliance reports.
- Lead ISO 14001 compliance efforts and oversee internal/external audits.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on EHS performance metrics (KPIs), ensuring continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in an EHS role within a manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT standards
- Experience with ISO & TS standards
- Internal and external auditing experience
- First Aid & CPR training preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
- Availability: Must be able to travel frequently to other sites as needed.
