What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1st Shift Production Worker position at First Capital Fibers?
First Capital Fibers is looking for a general laborer to work in our production warehouse. No experience necessary. On 1st shift you are expected to work 8-9 hours per day (with breaks and lunch), 5 days per week. Full benefits package includes healthcare and 401K after 90 days. We also participate in employee profit sharing. As an FCF employee, we consider you a part of the family.
Employees performing production\general labor are required to perform any and all tasks as directed by their supervisor.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist in unloading trucks.
- Assist with dumping material out of gaylords.
- Inspect material as it is being processed for prohibited materials.
- Sort out grades and remove prohibited materials to maintain grade integrity.
- Assist in loading of trucks as needed.
- Stack skids by hand.
- Stack large boxes neatly on skids.
- Feed and operate the roll cutter.
- Operate forklifts/skid steers upon completion of all necessary training (forklift or bobcat experience is not required).
Core Competencies:
- Must be able to follow verbal instructions.
- Must be able to complete tasks in accordance with training and experience level.
- Must be able to work well with others.
- Must demonstrate a growing understanding of the company’s policies, procedures, and culture.
- Experience using a jockey truck to move trainers in/out of docks is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to safely lift and carry a minimum of 50-100 lbs. repeatedly.
Education: High school or equivalent (Required)

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
