Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Commercial Account Manager. This role is responsible for managing and servicing the insurance needs of commercial clients. This includes working closely with clients to assess their insurance requirements, providing guidance on policies and coverages, and ensuring the smooth execution of renewals, endorsements, and claims processes. The role also involves building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, insurance carriers, and internal teams, with a focus on customer satisfaction, retention, and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with commercial clients.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, addressing inquiries, concerns, and providing proactive solutions.
- Ensure clients receive exceptional service, including managing renewals, endorsements, claims, and policy changes.
- Assess clients' evolving insurance needs and recommend appropriate coverage and services.
Policy Management:
- Review and analyze clients’ insurance policies to ensure proper coverage.
- Provide advice to clients on policy options, risks, and exposures.
- Coordinate with insurance brokers and carriers to secure quotes and manage policy renewals.
- Prepare proposals, presentations, and coverage summaries for clients.
- Oversee and ensure timely execution of policy documentation.
Claims Coordination:
- Assist clients in the claims process, ensuring that claims are handled efficiently and effectively.
- Act as a liaison between clients and insurance carriers to ensure proper claims resolution.
- Follow up with carriers and clients to ensure timely payment and closure of claims.
Sales Support:
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell or upsell additional insurance products based on client needs.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Assist in the preparation of marketing materials and proposals for new business.
Market Knowledge & Industry Expertise:
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market conditions, and insurance products.
- Provide clients with expert advice and guidance on emerging risks and coverage options.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and organized client files, ensuring all documents are up to date.
- Prepare regular reports for management on client retention, policy renewals, and sales activity.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
Expectations:
- Ability to manage a book size of $3M in premium (~250 accounts) and maintain retention of 90%
- Contribute to team production by cross-selling existing clients and winback of former clients - goal of $300K premium annually (prospect leads offered regularly by agency)

Requirements
- Active Property and Casualty Insurance License in Texas, or ability to obtain within a designated time frame.
- Proven experience (typically 3 years) in commercial insurance account management, sales, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of commercial insurance products, policies, and coverage options.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and carriers.
- Ability to manage multiple client accounts and priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency with management software, MS Office Suite, and other relevant tools.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
