Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Location: Norfolk, VA
The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience as a LPN and be able to lift at least 50 pounds without restrictions. They must also be able to stand and walk for long hours without restrictions and bend and lift without restrictions.
Responsibilities:
- Delegate duties to Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide the highest level of care.
- Administer medications and treatments according to the Medication Administration Record (MAR) and Treatment Authorization Record (TAR) following physician orders.
- Provide wound care to patients by following physician orders.
- Admit or discharge patients following facility protocol and physician orders.
- Perform ongoing assessments on patients by following physician orders.
- Explain medications/treatments to patients and family members following Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and facility protocol.
- Familiar with gastrostomy tubes (G-tubes), nebulizer treatments, and tracheostomies (trachs).
Requirements:
- Covid-19 vaccine.
- 1 year of experience as a LPN.
- Basic Life Support (BLS)/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Updated PPD test within 1 year.
- Active LPN license.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds without restrictions.
- Must be able to stand and walk for long hours without restrictions.
- Must be able to bend and lift without restrictions.
