A healthcare services organization in Virginia is actively seeking a new Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a promising opportunity with their growing team in Suffolk.
Responsibilities
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will:
- Prepare and implement written plans of care for each resident
- Prepare monthly progress reports relative to the Nursing Plans of Care and new needs as they are identified
- Update monthly nursing reports for all consumers
- Provide healthcare training to residents, staff, and/or families as necessary
- Schedule, monitor, and ensure documentation of all medical services required by consumers
- Supervise the implementation of policies and procedures concerning medication storage, handling, and administration
- Review MARs and physicians orders weekly, to ensure proper administration by Residential Technicians
- Participate as an active member of the Interdisciplinary Team
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 2 years of work experience with the Developmentally Disabled population
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nurse program
- VA Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Experience with Psychiatric / Behavioral Healthcare Nursing
- Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
- Patient oriented
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
Salary : $25 - $33
