Physical Therapy- Front Office Specialist

We currently have a GREAT OPPORTUNITY! Our Physical Therapy department is searching for a Front Office Specialist to join our team at our new location in Elko. This role provides the opportunity to interact with patients and clinicians as we strive to deliver an excellent experience to each person that we encounter. You will also communicate with Insurance companies to verify patient benefits, schedule for multiple providers, and assist with keeping therapy orders up to date. Role and Responsibilities:

• Director of first impressions with patients, interacting with them in person and on the phone
• Ensures proper check-in and check-out.
• Monitors the waiting room to ensure patients are seen in a timely manner.
• Works with Medical Assistants to obtain information as needed.
• Scans Insurance cards.
• Collects patient balances, co-pays, cash, and carry items. Posts and allocates money.
• Schedules follow-up appointments and reviews information on various testing, referrals, etc. with patients at check-out.
• Explaining paperwork and benefits to patients
• Provides outstanding customer service and assistance to patients.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Ability to use Electronic Medical Record systems.
• Must be detail-oriented and accurate.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of different insurance carriers and plan types is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Medical Specialty:

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Experience:

• Customer service: 2 years (Required)
• Medical office: 2 years (Required)
• Computer skills: 2 years (Preferred)
