Administrative Assistant
First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Wadsworth, OH
Part Time: Up to 20 hrs/week 50 weeks/year
Perform receptionist, secretarial, and other such duties as assigned by Church Administrator. Duties would include preparation of print and web-based marketing media.
Duties:
- Answer phones
- Greet visitors and manage doors as needed
- Office Duties
- Receipt and distribution of mail
- Overseeing and maintaining inventory of office supplies
- Records maintenance as directed by Church Administrator
- Maintain membership records
- Weekly
- Maintain/Manage Planning Center and Pro-Presenter by monitoring, updating and inputting data.
- Prepare Bulletin
- Ensure that sanctuary is properly set, communion requirements are current, Information Center is current
- Update Electronic Sign
- Maintain electronic door schedule
- Coordinate all administrative and technical needs for committee meetings as needed
- Create and manage social media content
- Update and manage Church website
- Order Altar flowers as needed
- Work with Church Admin to make sure master calendar is updated and appropriate meeting links (Zoom) are created
- Create and send out congregational emails using Constant Contact including the Weekly Update
- Attend weekly staff meetings

- Make sure minutes are completed and posted/saved

- Create all content for admin team and committees

Skills needed:
- Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with a wide variety of individuals
- Warm, enthusiastic and welcoming to members and guests
- Experience in creating social media strategies
- Develop Social Media Campaigns
- Engage with congregants and followers
- Use data analytics to analyze campaign results
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- Strong Computer knowledge
- MS Office Suite
- Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Canva
- Publisher
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to handle confidential information
Required Education: High School Diploma, some college or technical training of clerical type, extra training or past office experience is preferred.
Climate: Professional/casual, comfortable atmosphere, works closely with others.
