Overview

This role will be responsible for producing sales reporting for the organization and production reporting for regulatory examination. The Director of CRA Data & Analytics acts as a domain expert who works with vast amounts of data from multiple systems to combine into one report. This role can create expert data reporting and lead a team of talented junior analysts. This role requires significant attention to detail as all reporting will be used for employee performance payouts or regulatory exam ratings.

On any given day, this role will:

  • Mine data to arrive at specific and crucial information for the organization.
  • Identify and implement process, data and reporting improvements for the organization.
  • Work with large and complex databases.
  • Conduct analysis to rank performance by region and explain outcomes.
  • Interact with senior leadership across the organization to explain reporting.
  • Perform ad hoc data discovery.
  • Manage a team of 4 data analysts.

Responsibilities

  • Support CRA and HMDA data collected to assure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Prepare monitoring reports to support the risk impact associated with business unit performance.
  • Leverage CRA Whiz to input and validate Bank's HMDA lending performance.
  • Create visually stunning and salient reports using tools such as Tableau or Power BI. Demonstrates creative ability to recommend visualizations of data that empower key business stakeholders to easily interpret complex information and quickly identify key insights.
  • Manage team of analysts to produce monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting of data from a variety of sources.
  • Support ad hoc data requests.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Community leadership, or development

High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Community leadership, or development

Preferred Area of Experience: Financial Services

Required Qualifications:

  • BA or Ma in data analytics, business analytics, data science, computer science, computer information systems, statistics, applied math or another relevant field.
  • 5 years of related work experience in financial services - CRA heavily preferred.
  • 2 years of people leadership experience preferred.
  • Expert at CRA Whiz.
  • Familiar with common data analysis processes (e.g., data transformation, cleansing, modeling, relational database concepts, pivot tables) required.
  • Experience in data analysis, statistics, and experimentation required.
  • Comfort and knowledge of querying data sets and transforming data to meet report needs.
  • Ability to understand and analyze large amounts of data required.
  • Knowledge of financial management, forecasting, corporate treasury, business analytics.
  • Experience in regulatory reporting required - CRA experience preferred.
  • Project management - some level of project management experience.
  • Collaboration and interpersonal effectiveness - ability to build strong connections with people and teams.
  • Communication skills - ability to interact with all levels, including senior leaders; verbal, written and visual communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, quickly evolving organization.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Microsoft Office - Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Teams.
  • Experience with advanced business intelligence and analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI and Tableau) preferred.
  • Experience in advanced data governance concepts included the need for documented definitions, calculations, sources, lineage, etc. preferred.
