Position: Technical and FES Training Specialist
Department: Professional Learning
Position Description: The position is responsible for administering and maintaining the overall
training program of First Citizens National Bank, with the guidance of the Director of Professional
Learning, to fulfil the objectives defined in the bank’s Strategic Action Plan. The in-house training
programs are designed to educate and evaluate employees in the areas of amazing service, quality
sales, product knowledge, compliance, policies and procedures, operational skills, management skills,
and PC software.
Employee will coordinate/develop flexible training programs/schedules for FES and CSA staff.
Excellent time management skills are required to ensure project completion dates are met. Excellent
customer/employee relationship skills, knowledge of Bank products, problem solving skills, and team
leadership skills are required. A professional image and phone etiquette are essential. Advanced
verbal, reading, writing, and interpretation skills are required. Strong computer technical skills are
required (i.e. Word, Excel, Adobe Professional, PowerPoint). Employee must display a strong work
ethic and be self-disciplined, self-motivated, and organized with ability to multi-task.
Other responsibilities include supporting CSA and FES teammates when issues such as outages,
system failures, and technical errors arise. They will be responsible for preparing materials needed
for training, using necessary Word Processing and Presentation programs; preparing and maintaining
reports on training attendance using Excel and/or other applicable computer programs; copying,
compiling, and distributing training materials as needed; and evaluating training needs in given area
of responsibility. The Technical and FES Training Specialist is responsible for communicating policy
and procedure changes to FES and CSA teammates in service area as needed, in a timely manner.
Qualifications: Ability to coordinate/develop flexible training programs/schedules for staff.
Excellent time management skills ensuring project completion dates are met. Excellent
customer/employee relationship skills, knowledge of Bank products, team worker and problem
solving skills are needed. Ability to coach and mentor teammates. Professional image and phone
etiquette essential. Customer service and/or sales background a plus. Advanced verbal, reading,
writing, and interpretation skills are needed. Advanced computer technical skills are required (i.e.
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Adobe Professional). Strong work ethic, self-disciplined and self-
motivated. Organized, with ability to multi-task. Logical, technical, and analytical skills are essential.
B.S. Degree is preferred. 3 Years’ experience with related banking responsibilities is preferred.
Working Conditions: Available to work Monday thru Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm; projects will
demand commitment of additional hours. Workstation will be located at a West TN regional office.
Able to travel to other bank locations. Work under minimal supervision and own initiative.
