SUMMARY:
Responsible for identifying skill gaps, evaluating employee performance, and understanding how effective training relates to the business goals. Actively pinpoint potential training opportunities, materials, selecting appropriate delivery methods, and establishing clear learning objectives and record keeping. Display confidence in working in an industrial manufacturing environment. The position will use various instructional techniques and along with utilizing multimedia to enhance and engage participants and facilitate learning. Must have the ability to present information clearly and effectively while enhancing the overall effectiveness of the training experience. Create and maintain materials and documentation related to training. Maintain strong interpersonal skills along with high level facilitation skills for varying group sizes and topics.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- Work closely with managers, supervisors, leads, specialists and other employees to identify skill/knowledge gaps, and opportunities to ensure proper training is provided and tracked accurately for each department.
- Collaborate across teams, department managers to identify specific training needs through assessment, feedback and performance evaluations to coordinate specific training needs for production and supporting departments and positions.
- Aid with onboarding new employees and provide 30/60/90 day check-ins and provide ongoing support as needed.
- Conduct needs assessments, to ensure training programs align with organizational objectives and address specific areas for improvement.
- Respond to requests for training, ensuring that programs meet organizational needs and supervisors and managers, providing guidance on available training and performance improvement services.
- Provide support to stakeholders with on-the-job training, address any challenges employees face, and ensure that learning is applied effectively in the workplace.
- As part of the Training and Development Team, actively aid in the development and/or update training presentations, tests, study guides, job aids, and reference materials under the guidance of training leadership and/or subject matter experts.
- Assist in leveraging of the company’s learning management system platform to better serve the production employee experience.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices to incorporate into training sessions.\
- Continuously seek feedback from participants to improve training programs.
- Facilitates change management activities to achieve goals/organizational key results (OKR)s, improve resource utilization, create efficient processes and adopt technologies, to streamline the implementation of contracts, accreditation standards, employee engagement activities, etc.
- Assist in the administration and improvement of the training recordkeeping systems and ensure data is entered on a timely and accurate basis.
- Support in scheduling of training courses and training calendar. Administer training facilities including physical rooms, audiovisual equipment, visual aids and equipment used for on-the-job training.
- Facilitate professional training events for internal employees; demonstrate expertise in company Training Programs as well as an understanding of industry best practices.
- Gather feedback and evaluation the effectiveness of training and education offerings.
- Willing to learn new skills and develop in areas required for ongoing career success
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in training and development to enhance program effectiveness.
- Promote a positive, professional image of the HR Department by conducting business with other Hyosung HICO departments, consultants, vendors, etc., in a timely and cooperative manner.
- Support and assist HYOSUNG HICO’s Human Resources staff and other staff as needed.
- Know HYOSUNG HICO’s Quality, Safety and Environmental Policies and have the ability to fully discuss the importance of these policies and how they impact work.

REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION/SPECIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
- High School Diploma or equivalent with minimum of 2 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing setting. In Person and on-the-job training experience a plus. Associates or advanced degree a plus.
- Advanced interpersonal, communication and presentation skills required to communicate with employees and vendors.
- Bilingual Spanish or Korean helpful, but not required.
- Ability to communicate complex technical processes in easy to understand terms
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products and HR systems including training recordkeeping systems.
- Passion for training and development, with a demonstrated ability to engage learners.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

- Ability to use office equipment, such as PC, photocopier, fax machine, etc.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally on an occasional basis.

- Basic ability to read manufacturing drawings/specifications, prints or work instructions.
- Ability to judge the quality of work produced compared to established standards, drawings, and instructions.
- Ability to use all applicable PPE including but not limited to hard hat, safety toe shoes, safety glasses, and gloves.
- Ability to conform to all work environment requirements, including restrictions electronics and jewelry.
