What are the responsibilities and job description for the VP, Technology Operations position at First City Credit Union?
The VP, Technology Operations will assume, but not be limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Leads and manages Information Technology staff including employee evaluations, regular department and one-on-one meetings, hiring, and performance management.
- Responsible for the overall strategic design and planning, effective delivery, maintenance, monitoring, and support of First City's technology infrastructure.
- Responsible for IT service delivery and technology operations, including data and voice networks, servers, databases, storage, and workstations.
- Responsible for data centers, disaster recovery/business continuity, IT peripherals, and business applications/systems.
- Assists the Credit Union staff in identifying Information Technology needs and design specifications. Makes recommendations for applying new technology.
- Administers ongoing training and communication within the Credit Union to ensure employee understanding of Information Technology systems and procedures.
The successful candidate will possess the following education, knowledge and skillsets:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required.
- Extensive experience (10 years) in IT operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Proven experience in strategic planning and execution.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge and ability to apply security concepts in WAN environments. Advanced knowledge of Firewalls, Virtual Private Networks and Windows security
- Advanced networking skills, including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, WINS, Active Directory and SMTP
