A Typical Day
The Executive Vice President, Technology Operations, is a pivotal role requiring a solid technical background, along with strong experience managing large AWS cloud environments. Proficiency in Windows/Linux operating systems, MS SQL, and open-source database engines like PostgreSQL and MySQL is essential. The EVP Technology Operations will demonstrate strong capabilities in database design, architecture, and governance. This role demands exceptional communication, organizational team-building skills, and performance management.
As the EVP Technology Operations, you will ensure maximum uptime in a 24/7 environment with a national footprint through multiple 3rd party vendors, focusing on issue resolution, network and server maintenance, systems monitoring, infrastructure availability, tracking and driving departmental goals, and monitoring and reporting on departmental progression. Additionally, you will be responsible for the resiliency, uptime, and availability of critical customer-facing applications and platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Excellence:
- Ensure continual process improvement within the Operations Center, including but not limited to automation of tasks and reporting, implementation of company-wide monitoring initiatives, and routine administration tasks.
- Manage infrastructure availability, ensuring maximum uptime in a 24/7 environment.
- Team Leadership:
- Identify and interview candidates for the network operations team as needed.
- Foster a collaborative team environment that aligns with the organization’s culture and values.
- Process and Procedure Development:
- Ensure scalable growth by implementing and managing processes and procedures for reporting, patches, updates, call handling, and training.
- Create, implement, and manage an onboarding process for all new applications.
- Database and Cloud Management:
- Leverage strong experience managing large AWS cloud environments to optimize performance and reliability.
- Oversee database design, architecture, and governance, ensuring robust and efficient database operations.
- Manage and maintain Windows/Linux operating systems, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, and MySQL databases.
- Reporting and Monitoring:
- Generate key reports for management, including but not limited to system availability, service level agreements, and customer issues.
- Implement and manage monitoring systems to ensure the early detection and resolution of issues.
- Strategic Communication:
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding issue resolution, network and server maintenance, and departmental progression.
- Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Work across the organization to lead large initiatives, ensuring alignment and collaboration between departments.
- Drive strategic projects that enhance the overall performance and capabilities of the technology operations.
- Resiliency and Uptime Management:
- Ensure the resiliency, uptime, and availability of critical customer-facing applications and platforms.
- Implement best practices for disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Additional Duties:
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor of Science or equivalent work experience.
- 10 years of proven leadership experience in a technical and dynamic environment.
- Proven technical background in telecommunications and/or Linux operations.
- Strong experience with Windows/Linux operating systems, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
- Extensive experience managing large AWS cloud environments.
- Expertise in database design, architecture, and governance.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and team-building skills.
- Proven ability to manage and improve processes within an Operations Center.

Compensation: Individual salary may vary based on multiple factors including specific role, geographic location / market data, and skills and experience as defined below:
- Lower in range - Building skills and experience in the role
