The ODP Specialist performs the day-to-day operation and oversight of the Overdraft Program, managing and resolving charge off activity for overdrawn accounts, and providing support to branch staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Respond timely to overdraft support requests, effectively implement documented controls, and accomplish departmental objectives.
- Develop, document, maintain, and ensure compliance with an effective standard procedure for the Overdraft Program.
- Develop, document, maintain, and ensure compliance with an effective standard procedure for providing support and assistance through phone and email to branch staff on ODP questions and requests.
- Develop, document, maintain, and ensure compliance with an effective standard procedure for contacting account holders regarding payment of overdrawn accounts to limit charge off occurrence.
- Develop, document, maintain, and ensure compliance with an effective standard procedure to provide New Start Loan applications to both customers and branch staff.
- Develop, document, maintain, and ensure compliance with standard procedures that provide for continuity of Overdraft Program services in the event of a disaster or less severe interruption to the ongoing business processes.
- Develop, document, maintain, and ensure compliance with standard procedures for monitoring and reporting Overdraft Program activity to include volume of ODP customers and transaction activity, etc. to create management awareness.
- Develop, document, maintain, and ensure compliance with standard procedures that confirm compliance with any laws or regulations governing the Overdraft Program (Regulation E, Regulation CC, BSA/OFAC, etc.).
- Complete training, as assigned, within the expected timeframes.

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three years of banking experience preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency using banking platforms and common office software and systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines while working independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to travel, occasionally overnight
- Ability to define goals and objectives, organize work, and successfully manage completion of tasks to achieve pre-defined goals and objectives
- Ability to sit in front of a computer for extended periods of time
