Job Description
Overview:
This is a hybrid Receptionist and Teller position. The Receptionist and Teller serve as the first point of contact for clients at First Community Bank in person and through telephone contact. For both positions, the candidate must be proactive, friendly, well organized, flexible, and have multi-tasking ability. He or she must also display a high level of professionalism and be courteous to both clients and associates.
Essential duties:
· Project a courteous, professional and service-oriented image to all clients, vendors, visitors, and associates
· Provide excellent customer service by actively listening to customers and addressing their needs
· Exhibit confidence and maintain confidentiality
· Assist customers with inquiries, account updates, and general information
· Assist with and attend special bank functions as needed
· Demonstrate reliable attendance
· Detect and prevent fraud by following established protocols and procedures
· Collaborate with team members to resolve customer issues and ensure customer satisfaction
· Open deposit accounts and perform customer account maintenance as needed
· Operate a multi-line telephone to ensure calls are directed to appropriate departments in a courteous and timely manner.
· Ensure the daily functions of the lobby area run smoothly and provide administrative support to the Officer group
· Proactively assist in preparing the bank for internal and external meetings and functions
· Issue timely internal communications with detail and accuracy
· Maintain kitchen / client refreshment areas to ensure cleanliness and good order
· Operate postage meter for outgoing mail and distribute incoming mail and faxes
· Process transactions accurately, including debits, credits, and cash handling
· Upsell products and services to meet customer needs and achieve sales targets
· Perform cash management duties, including opening and closing cash registers
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications (Education, Work Experience, Skills):
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Strong interpersonal etiquette and written communications
· Ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism and empathy
· Strong match skills for accurate transaction processing
· Experience as receptionist/administrative assistant preferred
· Proficient in professional communications, including the use of computer systems and software applications, including MS Office Suite
· Friendly, positive attitude and sense of humor
· Knowledge of the financial services industry is an asset
Additional Compensation:
· Annual bonus eligible
