Requirements :
This position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent. Computer literacy with a working knowledge of Word and Excel is required.
Must demonstrates a positive attitude, professional image, and be self-motivated and have the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. Possesses effective oral and written communication skills. Prior banking experience is preferred.
Essential Functions :
Assists in using tools and reports to monitor accounts and loans for anomalies and functional abnormalities. Has a basic understanding of the relationship between fields within the credit union’s core system and can help troubleshoot problems and errors, including, but not limited to those concerning interest rate changes, credit reporting, loan amortization, statement generation, and the generation of reports, forms and workflows.
Assists with administering access to the credit union’s core system and other ancillary access.
Assists with administering access to the branch security system, including monitoring the activity, providing support for staff whom use the alarm system, and submitting / tracking support requests when necessary.
Assists with conducting monthly statement verifications, submitting notices / letters to the statement vendor for processing, and tax reporting.
Answers incoming phone calls and correspondence from Credit Union staff. Performs research to respond to questions and directs specific questions to appropriate departments.
Assists in the review of system programming changes and documentation provided for upcoming releases and service packs for the core system for operational concerns and risk. Addresses concerns with manager.
Understands document retention policies. Reviews and prepares documents in the credit union’s document management platform for purging.
Processes requests for camera footage for law enforcement and other purposes. Understands requirements for documentation requests to ensure compliance with privacy laws.
Conducts research, gathers and analyzes data. Completes spreadsheets and summarizes data by creating reports.
Assist management and other departments, as directed, with special projects and the implementation of new products and processes.
Assists with the creation and maintenance of electronic forms and workflows.
Represents the Credit Union with honesty, integrity and trust at all times.
Adheres to established internal policies and procedures for compliance.
Completes required compliance training in a timely manner and complies with all regulations within scope of the position.
Adheres to the requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, USA PATRIOT Act and anti-money laundering regulations.
Base Expectations :
Be willing to perform any duty (beyond Essential Functions above) as assigned.
Confidentiality is of the utmost importance.
Possess a detailed working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel software applications that is adequate to perform the duties assigned.
Assist management to develop procedures and / or practices in an effort to improve operational efficiency throughout the Credit Union.
Maintain punctuality while adhering to the assigned work schedule.
Responsible to develop and maintain a high level of product service knowledge.
Recognize / listen to member requests and / or concerns and identify their needs.
Ability to solve problems and make decisions within responsibility level.
Provide exemplary internal customer service and foster teamwork throughout the credit union.
Be a team player, a good coach, and serve as a role model for all credit union staff.
Attend and participate in all required meetings unless prior approval is granted.
Working Conditions :
Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of items weighing up to 60 lbs.
Potential exposure to the threat of violence at any time.
Occasional business travel may be required.
Sitting or standing for extended periods of time may be required.
Repetitive motions and extensive keyboarding may be required.
