Occupational Therapist (OT) Position Summary:
This position delegates responsibility to the Occupational Therapist Assistant and Aides. Activities of this position are patient focused and utilize assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation in accordance with occupational therapy standards, physician orders, and governing policies and procedures.
A day in the life as a Occupational Therapist (OT) with MidMichigan Health
(20%)* Evaluates the patients function by performing formal/informal testing measures to determine the skeletal, neurological, respiratory, cardiovascular status, developmental, social, and cognitive functions.
(20%)* Develops a goal specific treatment regime based on assessment data and the patients tolerance to carry-out the treatment plan as prescribed.
(20%)* Submits a written treatment regime to be included as part of the plan of treatment authorized by and coordinated with the physician. Updates plan of care as needed to reflect changes in patient status. Co-signs verbal orders received by occupational therapist assistant as necessary.
(20%)* Devises a schedule of treatment, which is frequency and duration specific to be discussed with patient/family/caregiver and coordinated with clinical support staff.
(20%)* Educates patient, family, and/or caregiver regarding pathology or condition, patient alternatives, prognosis, and rationale for treatment through forms of rest, exercise, modalities, and other indicated interventions.
Submission Requirements
Active Drivers License, Auto-Insurance, Reliable Vehicle, and clean DMV Report - Required
At least one year of Home Care experience - Required
Mostly Outpatient w/ Acute Care
Ortho, Neuro, Peds Experience - Required
ALL SCHEDULING REQUESTS MUST BE MADE AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION (Facility will NOT approve scheduling requests at/after time of offer / Please obtain this information prior to submittal / Requests after offer can be cause for rescinded offer)

Dress Code: Uniform or dress/casual clothes no jeans
Coverage Area: 6 counties, typically one county per OT
Mileage: IRS Standard
Mileage per day: 25-100
