Natural Gas CAD Designer/Draftsman

Overview

First Cut Design & Fabrication is seeking an experienced AutoCAD Draftsman to provide mechanical construction drawing sets of natural gas pipeline facilities. This position is an in person position located in Richburg, SC, some remote work may be allowed with experience.

Duties

This position will report directly to the Senior Engineer (P.E.). Daily responsibilities include producing AutoCAD piping drawings packages including isometrics, two-line plan and elevation views, plot plans, site layout, fabrication and assembly, drawing details, bill of materials, structural platform and stand designs, and construction as-builts among others. Other drawings or tasks may be required to support customer requests, shop fabrication or field installation as needed.

Qualifications

• 5 years Drafting experience.
• Experience in AutoCAD is required.
• Demonstrated competency in AutoCAD to perform layer control, dimensioning, create elevation drawings from 2-D plan views, and detailed assemblies.
• Ability to read and interpret as-built drawings.
• Competency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to communicate via Microsoft teams.
• Capability to work effectively and independently from a remote location.
• Adaptable to fast-paced project schedules with ability to prioritize time and efficiently complete projects on schedule.
• Natural Gas Industry Experience is preferred

Education:

• 2-year Associates degree in Drafting or equivalent field
• Certificate program training with equivalent experience may be considered
