Business Banking Credit Analyst
First Dakota National Bank is hiring a full-time Credit Analyst to join our Sioux Falls team. A Credit Analyst supports the Business Banking department in the area of credit analysis in accordance with established guidelines and policies. 3-5 years of Business Banking credit analysis experience preferred. Hours include Monday-Friday 8-5.
- Spread financial statements including, but not limited to, balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements for new and existing customer applications, renewals, and annual reviews
- Operate efficiently within the Sageworks software application as needed to complete our spreads and analysis
- Provide written and oral analysis to Bankers of borrower’s financial condition and repayment capacity including review and presentation of ratios and trend analysis
- Assist Bankers in creating and documenting the credit recommendation to be presented to appropriate approval committees
- Analysis of collateral, including evaluation/appraisals and other risk mitigants such as government or personal guarantees
- Assist the Bankers in verifying that collateral is perfected and that proper insurance is or will be in place
- Assist the Bankers to track and monitor the receipt of all required financial documents that are needed by our borrowers on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis; Also includes any loan covenants on new and existing loans/customers
- Understand and interpret current loan policies and procedures to assist in compliance of all applicable laws and regulations
- Assist the credit department with performing inspections on properties and construction projects to verify work is complete and property is in good condition
- Comply with and provide suggestive improvements to our lending best practices and procedures
- Develop and maintain excellent written and oral communication skills in order to effectively document and communicate work performed
- Study economic trends in firm’s or individual’s industry or branch of industry to help predict probable success of loan customers
- Provide back-up to all major functions of the VP, Credit Analyst
- Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience
Bachelor’s Degree;
3-5 years Business Banking credit analysis experience preferred.
