What are the responsibilities and job description for the VP, Enterprise Risk Management position at First Entertainment Credit Union?
First Entertainment Credit Union is looking for a Vice President, Enterprise Risk Management to provide sound leadership oversight of our enterprise risk, regulatory, legal, compliance, and audit functions. The ideal candidate plays an active and critical role in defining and shaping the long-term strategy and value proposition for these functions with an anticipatory and innovative mindset. The VP, Enterprise Risk Management works diligently to safeguard the Credit Union and its members by sustaining an effective risk culture while maintaining the independence of the internal audit function.
Promoting a culture of risk awareness and accountability, the VP, Enterprise Risk Management will collaborate with internal business partners to provide expert guidance in support of day-to-day business operations and strategic enterprise projects. The role applies risk-based methodologies to mobilize, and execute on opportunities that simplify, automate, and / or strengthen controls across the Credit Union.
Reporting to the CFO, this is a full-time, hybrid opportunity based in Hollywood, CA. The targeted salary in California is between $200,000 to $250,000.
Responsibilities
- Monitor regulatory and legal developments and establish procedures to ensure the Credit Union's compliance with all relevant rules and regulations.
- Represent the Credit Union in various public-facing venues, such as conferences, seminars, summits or grassroots activities.
- Apply enterprise view in evaluating issues, objectives, and solutions.
- Assess, manage, and resolve control issues with transparency while adhering to applicable policies, laws and regulations.
- Oversee business functions related to policy administration, vendor management, and legal support.
- Mature the enterprise risk management (ERM) framework for the Credit Union, including facilitating risk identification and assessments, risk appetite and profile monitoring, risk inventory and heatmap and training and awareness.
- Coach, mentor, and motivate team members to produce high quality output and execution while navigating unexpected roadblocks.
- Serve as an active and engaged member of the Senior Leadership Team.
- Lead teams that partner with external counsel and auditing firms to strengthen the Credit Union's risk defense.
- Facilitate the production of materials for executive management, boards of directors and regulators.
- All other duties as assigned.
