The Branch Manager II position is responsible for administering management for a full-service, profitable branch for First Farmers Bank & Trust. This includes supervising branch retail staff, providing input on different committees as needed throughout the year, assisting customers in providing detailed knowledge of bank products and services, articulating the benefits and conditions of these services, and cross-selling products to new and current clients as needed. Driving new sales opportunities into the branch through outside selling is required.

This includes supervising branch retail staff, providing input on different committees as needed throughout the year, assisting customers in providing detailed knowledge of bank products and services, articulating the benefits and conditions of these services, and cross-selling products to new and current clients as needed. Driving new sales opportunities into the branch through outside selling is required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- 1. Supervise, train, coach, and perform annual reviews for all branch personnel.
- 2. Manage overall branch operations including but not limited to: scheduling branch staff, developing job responsibilities for each employee at your branch, having monthly meetings with your staff to discuss sales opportunities and operational issues, having weekly huddles with your staff - subject matter to be determined by the Regional Team, establishing and helping attain performance objectives for your branch, contributing to the interaction with other bank departments, developing an outside calling strategy to build new relationships for the bank, conducting targeted sales calls, proactively driving sales opportunities through outside selling to consumer and business clients, providing quality customer service through knowledge of bank products and services, expanding and retaining bank customer relationships and soliciting new relationships from prospective customers, educating new and existing customers about features and benefits of bank products and services, proactively referring customers to appropriate personnel, developing and implementing strategies to help grow deposits, investigating competitive offerings in your market, reviewing and providing reports to management including branch totals for deposit, teller offage, total cash for your branch, past due safe deposit boxes, conducting financial consultations with customers and taking applications for all consumer loans including home equity line of credit applications, assisting commercial loan officers with past due customer information for your branch, determining fee refunds and settlement of the NSF list in conjunction with the Head Teller, overseeing the maintenance items for your branch including the parking lot, assisting in counting tellers out when they are off more than $100 or with surprise audit counts, testing the branch security equipment and investigating security issues as needed, coordinating training of staff on all bank products and services on an ongoing basis, maintaining customer contact and handling customer complaints, ensuring the branch stays in compliance of all applicable federal and state regulations, ensuring completion of all quarterly education courses, building and insuring employee and customer satisfaction levels are met, attending all applicable meetings including Branch Manager Meetings, being an active member in the community, completing the CD maturity list - calling upon all customers in question, may be responsible for multiple branches, assisting tellers and CSR's in peak times to expedite the workflow.
Requirements
- Responsible to the Regional Branch Manager for the fulfillment of duties assigned.
- Will have contact with customers and public.
- Ability to manage branch-banking personnel engaged in retail operations to achieve profit, growth, and customer service objectives within bank policy guidelines.
- Previous experience in retail banking, sales, and staff management preferred.
- Requires sound knowledge of established procedures, methods, and practices, and extensive knowledge of customer base.
- Good sales and computer skills, and a proven ability to develop business opportunities are necessary.
- Should be analytically minded and possess good judgment.
- Must demonstrate sales, management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Maintain relationships within the business community including participation with community organizations and community projects.
