First Federal Bank of Louisiana is currently seeking a Reconciliation Coordinator in the Accounting Department at the Main Office in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

SUMMARY
Prepares and maintains general ledger for bank as well as all subsidiary companies. Balances several subledger systems including; loan / deposit applications, prepayment expense records, borrowings and investments. Assists finance team in payment systems, accounting systems and third party reporting systems related duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following :
- Maintains several databases for various general ledger accounts
- Prints forms, dividend checks, etc.
- Maintains prepayment expense records and database
- Prepares and posts general ledger entries
- Oversees the reconciliation process of the large proportion of general ledger as well as cash accounts
- Reconciles checking accounts maintained at the bank as well as at other financial institutions
- Enters general ledger and subsidiary ledger transactions via several different systems
- Prepares analyses of financial accounts as requested
- Monitors and resolves reconciliation issues including fee and income anomalies
- Analyzes trends in costs and revenues
- Process daily and monthly work relating to loans serviced by others, and complete reconciliation’s and transmissions to the respective third parties
- Compliance training is assigned to all Bank personnel based on their position with the Bank. Employees are required to complete all assigned training timely and in accordance with Bank policy.
