Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in oversight of all aspects of deposit operations for the bank to ensure regulatory/internal compliance and optimal efficiency, to include oversight of cash.
- Lead projects and ensure successful implementation of new processes, procedures, systems, efficiencies or products and services.
- In the absence of the Deposit Operations Manager, assist with oversight of Deposit Operations staff and assign appropriate workloads within the department.
- Monitor information obtained from calls/assistance to identify training opportunities, changes in procedures/polices/regulations, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Support training of staff as it relates to deposit compliance, bank policies and procedures.
- Possess knowledge of Horizon’s core system and support all areas of deposit operations as needed.
- Continually develops and maintains a working knowledge of internal policies and procedures.
- Performs all job duties to ensure compliance with all applicable acts, laws, and regulations, and to ensure staff has the training and resources to perform duties to maintain compliance with such acts, laws, and regulations.
Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with identifying and developing solutions for common operational problems that may exist.
- Assist with the coordination of research and investigation of regulatory, legal, and quality control issues, including policy and procedures violations.
- Function as backup to Deposit Operations Manager.
Qualifications Required
(Required education may be satisfied by experience and/or working knowledge)
High School diploma or equivalent. Three years of progressively responsible leadership in banking operations, training, and supervision. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Sitting for extended periods of time, requires close visual acuity and the ability to work and operate computer applications and equipment including copy machine, telephone, scanner, or other basic business equipment. Some travel is required for training staff. The job is within the normal office environment range.
Qualifications Preferred
Associate’s degree and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point. Strong knowledge of deposit banking operations policies, procedures, and federal and state regulatory requirements. Five years of banking experience to include, Teller, CSR, and IRA. Two years of experience supervising staff to include coaching and mentoring.
