Role : Support the financial management and operations of the Credit Union through maintenance of accounting records and reports. Perform entry-level accounting duties in accordance with standard procedures and under
moderate supervision.
- Review all invoices and check requests for appropriate GL assignment, documentation and approval prior to payment.
- Process electronic payments and paper checks.
- Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies.
- Reconcile assigned GL accounts maintaining accurate posting of general and subsidiary ledgers.
- Review and record all employee reimbursements including credit card payments.
- Contact other departments and / or outside agencies to resolve common issues.
Experience & Skills Required : One year to three years of similar or related experience.
Education : (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
