Location: New York, NY (Hybrid) Must reside in the tri state area to be able to go into office.
This is a Fixed Term full-time position for 6 to 9 months.
What You Would Get To Do:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will extract, analyze, and visualize data to support business decision-making. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, delivering actionable insights, and maintaining high standards of data quality and governance.
Your Contributions
- Data Extraction & Transformation:
- Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, clean, and analyze data from multiple relational databases.
- Combine data from various sources and formats into cohesive, quality-controlled datasets.
- Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities that support business objectives.
- Develop, maintain, and automate recurring reports and dashboards to track key performance metrics.
- Provide actionable insights through ad-hoc data analysis, presenting findings clearly and effectively.
- Business Intelligence & Visualization:
- Create interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
- Present complex data in an accessible format, applying best practices to ensure clarity for non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Partner with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and refine data objectives.
- Communicate analysis results, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Data Governance & Quality:
- Ensure adherence to data quality standards and governance frameworks.
- Regularly audit data sources, troubleshoot data issues, and implement improvements to maintain data accuracy and reliability.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Experience in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in data analysis, including expertise in SQL, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker), and Excel/Sheets.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify key trends and present actionable insights.
- Experience working with large datasets and cleaning, transforming, and integrating data from various sources.
- Excellent communication skills to present complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with data governance and best practices for ensuring data accuracy and quality.
United States Residents: The base pay for this position ranges from $80,000 - $110,000.
