Job Overview:
The Assistant Property Manager will support the Area Manager in overseeing daily operations, tenant relations, and financial performance of assigned commercial properties. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and capable of handling multiple tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the day-to-day management of commercial properties, ensuring smooth operations and tenant satisfaction.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for tenants, addressing concerns and coordinating maintenance requests.
- Support lease administration, including tracking expirations, renewals, and compliance with lease terms.
- Monitor and assist with property budgets, financial reporting, and invoice processing.
- Conduct regular property inspections and ensure compliance with safety and building codes.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for maintenance and repair projects.
- Responsible for rent collection, late payment follow-ups, and resolving tenant billing issues.
- Assist and/or lead in preparation of reports and presentations for property owners and senior management.
- Support marketing and leasing efforts for vacant spaces.
- Collect vendor and tenant COI's and follow up on expired or deficient COI's.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial property management or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of property management software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, AppFolio) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
