First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking a Assistant Vice President & IT Network manager to join the IT Infrastructure - Network team. This role is responsible to under general direction of the IT Infrastructure Engineering Manager, supervises, plans, organizes and controls data network and voice telecommunication activities. Responsible for the design, development, documentation, implementation, and maintenance of a comprehensive network and telecommunications strategy. Leads, analyzes and designs technical solutions for infrastructure and enterprise architecture related projects. Responsible for feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, and the establishment and implementation of new or upgraded systems.
Compensation :
The annual salary range for this role is $117K - $143K / yr; commensurate with experience.
Work Schedule :
Monday - Friday 8 : 00AM - 5 : 00PM (Hours may vary)
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems (MIS) or related field or equivalent work experience in data networks and / or telecommunications is required
- 5 years of experience in leading a technology group or department with high availability requirements is required
- 5 or more years managing and leading technical projects, are required
- 3 or more years of leadership responsibilities, including strategy, budgeting, and managing a team, are required
- Experience in developing and managing diverse technologies and systems in a medium or large sized company is preferred
- Previous management experience is preferred
- Background in network and telecommunications management are preferred
- Experience in managing vendor services and relationships are preferred
- Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, access controls, and encryption techniques
- Knowledge of network virtualization technologies, such as SDN (Software-Defined Networking) and virtual private networks (VPNs)
- Familiarity with network performance optimization techniques, such as Quality of Service (QoS) and traffic shaping
- Strong understanding and experience in infrastructure hardware and software evaluation, selection and implementation
- Experience in strategic and tactical network and / or telecommunications planning
- Experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving network and / or telecommunications related issues in a timely manner
- Good understanding of industry standards and best practices for configuration of infrastructure components
- Ability to effectively plan, lead, organize and execute
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects
- Demonstrates strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead, inspire, and motivate team members
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical, technical, and strategic planning skills
- Able to exercise discretion regarding confidential matters
- Sound knowledge of IT legal, regulatory, and compliance-related matters
- Highly proficient in Microsoft 365 suite of applications
