Summary
The Operational Risk Advisor / RCSA Lead will report to the head of ERM / ORM. The role is accountable for leading the strategic direction of the bank’s RCSA program and supporting other operational risk programs as needed. Responsibilities include advancing knowledge of risk management and risk culture through education and ongoing communication, providing risk oversight and challenge to front line units, coordinating across the three lines of defense, and providing updates to regulators, key executives and committees.
Job Responsibilities :
- Lead enhancements to the bank’s RCSA program including Process, Risk and Control Taxonomy, risk assessment methodology, risk data integrity, and risk reporting of RCSA outcomes.
- Coordinate with GRC Lead to integrate RCSA process and data into GRC tool.
- Develop and deliver risk training to the three lines of defense and provide ongoing education and awareness by building strong relationships with risk peers, first line partners and the Audit team.
- Coordinate with other risk leaders, front line units and external consultants as appropriate to make enhancements to RCSA methodology and process.
- Provide risk oversight and challenge to front line units.
- Identify and escalate key risks and issues.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop effective operational risk programs.
- Provide thought leadership on the prioritization of enterprise and operational risk initiatives.
- Maintain effective dialogue with regulators and support exams focused on operational risk management.
- Build strong relationships with front line business units collaborating on risk program enhancements and risk activity execution.
- Participate in industry forums and build relationships with other large banks across the industry.
