What you'll be doing…
- Prepare a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Follow all food safety standards, including proper date marking, rotation, and storage of ingredients.
- Maintain consistency in taste, texture, and appearance of all pastry items.
- Operate pastry kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, sheeters, and dough cutters with care and precision.
- Assist in menu development by contributing ideas and experimenting with seasonal ingredients.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of pastry workstations and storage areas.
- Work efficiently to meet service time expectations while maintaining the highest quality.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure seamless service and execution.
- Uphold the professionalism and high standards of The Weston Hotel brand.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Executive Chef or Pastry Chef
Experience & Education
- 1 years of pastry or baking experience (restaurant, hotel, or bakery preferred)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to speak, read, and write in the primary language used in the workplace
- Stand and walk frequently throughout an 8 hour shift
- Bend, reach, and pivot frequently during work tasks
- Lift, push, pull, and maneuver up to 50 pounds occasionally
